I always slide my spaghetti out of the box, or have many pieces of shaped pasta clanking into a bowl to be measured before they're cooked. And, I always set a timer as soon as the pasta hits the boiling water -- it can't go past al dente, or my meal is ruined! Thanks for evoking more juxtapositions to go with yours.
