Calling all writers / poets / creative souls:

The Other Herald is now accepting submissions by email or mail (see below addresses). Our 11th issue comes out Sept. 1. We are now reading for winter issues and also spring 2008 issues. Please keep in mind, as a small monthly literary paper, we have some space limitations. (Short submissions are preferred; we will contact you if we need to publish only an excerpt, for longer pieces.)

Please send us your best poetry, prose, "flash fiction" (very short stories), short articles (on any topic that would be of interest to writers/creatives), writing exercises or prompts, book reviews (especially those with a local connection), local events listings (events of interest to writers, in WNY---Rochester or Buffalo areas especially), black & white art, submissions opportunities or calls for work from writers.

Please note your submissions should be appropriate for readers of all ages, although most subscribers are adults. Please include a brief bio and contact info that you would want included with your piece, if accepted. We will include as much as space allows. For mailed submissions, if you want your pages returned, please include a SASE with enough postage for this.Thank you.

Smiles,
T. F. Rice (Editor)
