Eric - have you thought of a variation of this haiku with the third line first? Something like:day begins --the butcher puts onclean white glovesor even:day begins --the butcher'sclean white glovesjust a thought...
Eric - totally unrelated to haiku. You can delete spam comments using the instructions provided on the Blogger Help page, which I've linked to here. I get quite a bit of it myself. such a pain!
